This piece portrays me processing one of my biggest life losses. The loss of my soul dog, Nooka. I got Nooka when he was 8 weeks old, on my 18th birthday, when we were both still puppies. He was a big, white wolf hybrid, that could intimidate even the toughest of tough guys, even though he was a giant marshmallow. I had Nooka for 14.5 wonderful years, during which he stood by my side through all of life's trials and tribulations. He got me through my hardest times and celebrated my every win. When I lost him in December of 2022, I didn't know how I was going to get through it... it had been my biggest source of grief to date, and continues to sit with me every day. This piece portrays one of my greatest wishes... to have one more visit with the love of my life.
