When you are struggling with challenges in your life, what food do you find comforting?
I would love to learn new recipes and simple last minute dishes that can help out when someone isn't feeling their best.
My significant other loves fresh baked bread, chicken and rice, and when they are having a particularly bad day McDonald's Fries and a Coke.


I am a big proponent of 'girl dinner' in my house. Haven't eaten all day? 3 string cheeses and 20-30 olives will do the trick. If I want something nutritious, I have a couple of local favorites that will send me a meal with all the food groups when I'm not feeling good. I have a tricky relationship with food, though. I often use eating as a way to cope with emotional stress, and can make unhealthy or excessive choices consistently.
Everyone is different, though! I find it's helpful to have a rolling shopping list with the foods I can almost always eat/want, so I always have it in a pinch! Pre-mixed tuna kits, sliced deli meat/cheese, cherry tomatoes, and if all else fails... chocolate protein shakes fire sustenance.
